Harvey Salt offers dry salt or liquid salt automatic brine delivery systems. These systems use dry loose salt in ecohoppers, dry bulk salt in pneumatic tanker trucks or liquid salt in bulk tanker trailers. All systems deliver brine to the point of use eliminating the need to manually handle bags of salt.

Overview

The Ecobrine System is a dry salt system designed for the intermediate salt user (est. 25-300 tons per year) which is the typical usage of most salt users. The Ecobrine System provides the end user with the cost savings of purchasing loose salt in bulk and eliminating all manual handling of bag salt then adds the flexibility of a zero-up-front cost (OPEX) option for qualified buyers. This OPEX model allows the customer to pay for equipment, installation, maintenance and the salt with each salt delivery.

The OPEX model allows customers to reap the benefits of an automatic system without having to rely on the approvals required with a long-term budget submission process. The Ecobrine System is also available as an aboveground liquid salt system.

Key Features

  • Automatic Delivery – Brine is delivered automatically to multiple brine tanks. This means less frequent visits and no need for entry into buildings for salt deliveries, making your facility more secure and efficient.
  • Cost Effective – Facilities typically pay less for salt in EcoHoppers when compared to bagged salt.
  • Environmentally Friendly – EcoBrine Systems eliminates cutting & dumping of bagged salt and disposing of empty plastic bags. This allows minimal impact to our environment, leaving a small carbon footprint.

What is the licensing fee?

Licensing fee is a one-time expense which includes everything you need to know to start selling to your clients with our proven OPEX or CAPEX model.

How is a recurring revenue model created with an ecobrine system/ecohopper dealership?

Dealers sell, install and service Ecobrine Systems in their local communities. Dealers also supply loose salt into the system using Ecohoppers. The loose salt for their area is procured using our resources so the dealer can typically maintain a long-term price structure that will save their clients money on the price of their loose salt for the system. Dealers thrive on relationship-selling to their local Commercial/Industrial accounts. Our Dealers are part of a growing channel network of Dealers which began in the Mid-Atlantic. Dealers are always ready to share best practices and individual success stories with other dealers across the country. Your area is protected by County and Zip Code. In addition, Ecobrine Systems are only sold and installed by authorized, professional dealers who must meet rigorous standards along with ongoing professional development to ensure every system is installed and maintained with the highest integrity and professionalism. We only sell Ecohoppers to licensed dealers through Ecobrine System Licensing, LLC. We do not sell direct. Your territory is protected.

How do I know the demand in my area for commercial/industrial water softeners?

Every area of the country has hospitals, retirement communities, industry, food processing facilities, school districts, colleges, and universities, etc. Usually, all these facilities have commercial boilers, cooling towers or large HVAC Mechanical spaces even if you live in an area with soft water. Why? Boilers, Cooling Towers, and mechanical equipment all need soft water to operate efficiently. If you want to learn how much salt is sold in your area your home improvement or large hardware store and ask for an idea of their sales of solar and pelletized water softener salt.

Do I live in an area where salt is used for commercial/industrial water softeners?

"Major-ion chemistry in groundwater is relatively stable and generally does not change over time. Although the map illustrates data from 1975, these data have been found to be accurate and useful in current assessments."

Are plastic salt bags recyclable? What type of plastic are they made of?

No, 85% of the low-density polyethylene (LDPE) from salt bags end up in landfills. Salt bags typically contain a blue pigmented plastic film, dyes, and chemicals which hinder recycling. It is a challenge because of variation between recycling programs, unclear labeling, and inaccurate claims. Let’s eliminate this issue with Ecohoppers!

Are ecobrine systems difficult to build and install?

Absolutely not! The most common option is a single system tank which delivers brine into a brine tank. (It has only 4 parts!) Installation can be completed in a few days at an affordable installation cost for your client. We have seen system installations with long-term agreements and little to no money down. The OPEX model is built for your clients.

Can brine tanks be located on multiple floors?

Yes, tanks can be on one, or multiple floors in the same facility, as long as they are connected using Ecobrine System components.

How do I get training?

We believe the best training is to see an actual working system installed by an actual Ecobrine System Dealer who will take you to a current installation so you can see firsthand how the system operates and how it is assembled and installed. The dealer will also introduce you to the Facilities Maintenance staff so can see their system and hear what they have to say about their system. Each system is typically comprised of components readily available in the plumbing and flow control trade in communities across the country. All systems are proudly built and assembled in the USA.

Is help offered when writing a proposal?

Yes, it is available at a flat, hourly rate for your first system, so you can start selling right away. Call when you’re interested in creating your first proposal to receive a site-specific consultation for the job.

What quantity of manually bagged salt justifies an ecobrine system?

If your company handles 500 - 1,000 salt bags per year, is a justifiable range to invest. Now is the time to present the idea to key decision makers in your company. You could be paying less for salt, reducing your environmental footprint, and preventing back injuries within your facility.

What makes and ecobrine system desirable to customers?

While using Ecohoppers, they will pay less per pound for salt, because it doesn’t need to be bagged. It prevents hundreds, even thousands, of plastic salt bags from being discarded into local landfills, and prevents the chance of injuries to employees on your facility.

How do managers & CFOS benefit from an ecobrine system?

Key decision makers value an OPEX installation model vs. the CAPEX method since there isn’t any equipment to write off. Cost savings begin immediately, since the installation cost will be in part, or fully, offset by the salt cost savings. You can invite your client’s HSE department, and inform them that one back injury costs more than a typical system which is eliminated with the new method.

Are additional financing options available for clients?

Yes, give us a call to find your unique solution.

What does a dealer do?

Our Dealers are licensed to install and maintain the Ecobrine System. They use the Ecohopper to supply the salt crystals, or pellets, to a tank where the brine is made. They are also in charge of securing long-term recurring revenue agreements with customers.

How is a dealer fee determined?

The fee is tailored to Dealer's skillset, long-term potential to grow your market and geographic area with multiple financing options. We take our time to find the "right" Dealer Partners.
